RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research aims to measure and evaluate the performance of AI systems, particularly large language models, in terms of fair and equitable outcomes. Interdisciplinary approaches are important to my work, and I’m particularly interested in devising novel ways to evaluate models that more accurately represent their real-world use.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Doctoral Researcher
Information School, University of Washington
- Conducted research on LLMs usage for resume screening, including disparate outcomes and human-AI interaction
- Investigate depictions of people with stigmatized identities created using text-to-image generators
- Advisor: Dr. Aylin Caliskan

Neuroscience of Language Lab, New York University Abu Dhabi
- Under the supervision of Dr. Alec Marantz, developed and executed research projects, including experiment design, participant recruitment, running experiments, data analysis, and writing and presenting papers
- Increased efficiency of data analysis by using high performance computing cluster
- Operated and maintained a 208 channel magnetoencephalography (MEG) machine
- Trained other researchers in how to design and execute MEG experiments
- Performed administrative tasks such as record keeping and scheduling
Center for the Study of Language and Information Summer Intern
Language and Cognition Lab, Stanford University
- Under the supervision of Drs. Michael C. Frank and Abdullah Fourtassi, investigated children's language development through corpus analysis
- Compared different acquisition models using techniques from Natural Language Processing
- Attended weekly seminars about current theories and methods of studying language and cognition
